I hope to make this a very easy way to find links to others looking for the same family. It needs to answer two questions in order to do that smartly. The first is the name, YOB and POB of the earliest McGreal / McGrail ancestor known in Ireland. The second is the name of your immigrant ancestor, the location they settled in and the year of arrival.The townland is the key to links.

The Chief of the McGrail Clan, Greg McGrail has passed on to a better life. May he rest in peace. It is a sad thing to report but Greg has passed last August after a long illness. Greg entered late in the web game but in short order he became one of the best web sites in genealolgy. Within weeks his site was the one every McGrail would go to for any help at all. His help, his outlook and his humor will be missed. Tellurian, the web hosting company in North Jeresy that Greg used has been good enough to put Greg's site at http://www.tellurian.net/mcgrail for the time being.
