Michael McGrail (b.1835).. went to Brookfield, Linn Co., Missouri about 1859. Listed in 1880 census as railroad laborer Ireland. Original member of Church of Immaculate Concetpion in Brookfield. His wife, Margaret Duffy, came from Ireland (when/where?) with her sister Annie Gannon with $5,000 and bought one or more square blocks of property. She had music degree.

Have a little more info on latter names.Jane Franey, sp of Patrick McGrail (5009) moved to Chicago, IL and is part of the well-known Franey family. Notes about someone made money on a patent for the Howitzer.
