William O'Beirne (n.d.) emigrated from the Strokestown area to the Coolmine district of Co. Dublin.

William's son John (d. 1847) married Jane Marks and had seven children.

John's son James (d. 1888) married Mary Balfe.

James' son was my grandfather Paddy the RIC Inspector who happened to be stationed in Strokestown when my father, also Patrick, was born.

James' brother William was the ancestor of the U.S. Naval family.

On my mother's side, Kelly, longtime proprietors of the Tuam Herald.

My daughter Anne has a genealogy going back to the 1600s and has put a description of my book, >The Family O'Beirne on her web page.

Best regards.

Bryan
