The Armorial Arms & Crest of the Bower Family

The Bower family can trace its line back to 1246 AD, to the the Doomsday Book of England. The male line has the right to use the surname "Eyre" with their surname of Bower due to the fact that they are descendent from Jane Eyre one of King Henry VIII's wives.

On the left, the Arms of Thurston De-Bower, Lord of the Manor of Little Longstone living in 1371, died in 1424. Arms on the left: NW and SE quartering, Sable, a cross patee argent.

On the right, the Arms of George Bower of London. Squire (1634) Surveyour of the dresser to King James I, descendent of Robert de-la-Boure one of the Kings officers in the Royal forest of the peak. A contemporary to Edward III. The Armorial family slogan appears to be "Wittnesse Soloman".
